Tom Brady removes ex-wife Gisele Bundchen on his Twitter after split from model

NFL legend Tom Brady has removed Gisele Bundchen from his Twitter profile following the breakdown of their 13-year marriage.

The couple officially split in October following months of speculation to bring their whirlwind romance of more than a decade-and-a-half to a sorry end.

Brady appeared to officially usher in his newfound bachelorism by changing his header photo on Twitter from a picture of him, Gisele and their kids, to a photo of him playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He also swapped out a profile pic referencing Bitcoin amid the crash of the cryptocurrency giant in favour of a computerized Romanesque bust bearing his likeness.

Brady, 45, and his wife tied the knot in 2009 but had been living apart for months with speculation rife on the reasons behind the split.

There have been claims that Brady's shock retirement U-turn earlier this year angered Bundchen, with whom Brady has two young children.

It's understood the couple have agreed to lend each other 'full access' to their two children, Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9.

"They can see whichever parent they want," a source close to Brady told People magazine. "They've got a schedule, but neither of them would prevent their kids from seeing the other parent. That's not who either of them are."

Since the split, Brady's fortunes have been improving on the football field, with the Bucs returning to .500 with a win over the Seattle Seahawks in Germany on Sunday.
