Anthony Joshua leaves Gary Neville gobsmacked with boxing training skills

Anthony Joshua left Gary Neville's jaw on the floor after showcasing his incredible boxing skills.

The Manchester United legend was visiting AJ's training headquarters in Sheffield, the home to Team GB's amateur boxing – and was put through his paces.

But the former defender could not quite get to grips with the speed-bag and was showed where he was going wrong by Joshua.

The unified champion gave an absolute masterclass, producing superhuman speed and pinpoint precision – creating that satisfying sound made when hitting perfect combinations.

Neville watched on almost hypnotised by the British boxer's skill after seeing first-hand the difficulties attached to the sport.

AJ moved onto the heavy bag where he taught Neville some drills, including combination punching before they got on the pads.

It was here the Sky Sports pundit could show what he could do when one uppercut surprised Joshua, who said: “Lovely, got some power!”

The 31-year-old was also asked what happened between him and Tyson Fury after a deal to fight fell through at the last moment.

Many fans are yearning for the all British clash, with both seen as the top two heavyweights in the sport.

Joshua said: "We'll fight, 100 per cent, let's do it.

"I'll smoke that guy. I will. It's annoying. For me, I don't really get into the Twitter back and forth, because it's Twitter fingers.

"Anyone can sit behind a computer and talk. Let's be real, let's be honest. Let's let the people know.

"You're the one that let the fans down, because everyone seems to think.

"I fought on December 12th. When they were like, 'Who do you want to fight next?' I said I don't want to call out any names.

"And I know because I'm going to start shouting out people's names and I'm going to be in this position now where the guys' name I'm shouting out doesn't want to fight or he's not ready to fight."
