Eddie Hearn proved he can win fights as well as promoting them when he took on Tony Bellew on Saturday night.
Hearn, 42, and former WBC cruiserweight champion Bellew went head to head as they tried to set a new high score on DAZN Boxing Show’s punch machine.
The Matchroom Sport chairman seemed determined to rise to the challenge by declaring beforehand: “I’m gonna take my jacket off.
“Right, okay, I’m gonna hit it with a straight right hand down the pipe.”
And the promoter didn't mess about, impressing viewers, and Bellew, by taking a two-step before throwing a powerful right hand that yielded a score of 935.
Bellew reacted with: “Heavy-handed, that. Well done, Ed," before vowing to beat his former promoter's score via his trademark left hook.
"Your left hook was always the equaliser," chuckled Hearn as 'The Bomber' got in position to respond.
Bellew, 38, duly did unleash a fierce left hook but immediately downplayed the shot, saying: "That’s not gonna register as well."
Sensing victory, Hearn pleaded “Oh please let me beat him,” and sure enough, his former client's fears rang true as his strike only notched 926 points.
DAZN themselves were impressed, the station's Twitter account posting a video of Hearn's shot with the caption: "Eddie Hearn just DOMINATED the punch machine challenge."
The clip has since been viewed more than 59,000 times and a number of fans responded by cheekily suggesting Hearn's career should now not be confined to just promoting fights, with one asking: "Eddie Hearn V Logan Paul? Huge PPV event."
Another took a dig at Josh Warrington, whose rematch with Mauricio Lara at Headingley on Saturday ended in a technical draw after an early clash of heads.

"He hits harder than Warrington for sure."
Some however, did take note of the fact that Hearn, also chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation, didn't exactly execute his punch from a standing position.
"Lol my man took a running start," noted one.
"He looks to have a higher number than Joshua and almost as good as Wilder's left hand. With that said, the numbers till look good though."
In June, Hearn announced that he had signed a five-year deal to take his entire stable of Matchroom fighters to DAZN, signalling the end of Matchroom's previous partnership. As part of the deal, all Matchroom events are be shown exclusively on the streaming service worldwide.
