MMA fighter yanks out tooth to try intimidate rival in gruesome face-off

One MMA star took intimidation to new heights by ripping out his tooth during a face-off.

Jeremy Williams yanked out one of his teeth and proceeded to stamp on it ahead of his third professional fight. The 27-year-old was gearing up for his bout with rival Bryan Arocho at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando when he did the unthinkable.

And he shocked MMA fans with the unprecedented move, leaving supporters who were there firsthand and those at home completely stunned. Williams has already defeated the likes of Noah Williams and Andrew Nelson – each of which he won on points.

The piece of self-dentistry appeared to pay off as he beat Arocho via second-round knockout. And he proudly shared the subsequent win to social media, proudly writing in a caption: "For everyone wondering if the 'toothless' guy won… here’s your answer. This is just the beginning, my rise is inevitable."

And viewers reacted to the footage online. One said, quite prematurely:” If he gets whipped, that was in vain, a complete nonsense.” While another quipped: "Tooth replacement is going to cost more than the purse he is fighting for." To which someone replied: "He knows he has got to pay for those himself right?"

One fan stated online: "Express yourself no-one can tell you how to paint." While a last one queried: "Why did he unscrew that implant, those aren't cheap he has just stepped on $700." Others were more supportive of Williams' actions, with one fan writing: "A showman with the skills to back it up. If you know you know, otherwise sit tight and tune in."

The viral footage even drew the attention of UFC star Philip Rowe. The 32-year-old commented on his disdain for the move: "These kids try too hard," he scorned.
