UFC Las Vegas: Tanner Boser knocks out Philipe Lins

Tanner Boser’s mullet was already a winner before he stepped into the Octagon but fight fans grew to love him even more when he knocked Philipe Lins out in the first round of their bout at a UFC event in Las Vegas.

The Canadian rocked Lins with an overhand right in what was the third fight of the preliminary card, before following up with a brutal barrage of punches that left his opponent seeing stars on the canvas.

The first blow slowed Lin down and Boser’s next handful of punches did even more damage as the Brazilian tumbled backwards, out cold before he even hit the ground.

Boser pounced, wanting to make sure he finished the job but it was clear the fight was over and referee Herb Dean jumped in to save Lins from further pain, rolling “The Bulldozer” off his hapless victim.

The win was Boser’s second in three UFC fights, bouncing back from a loss to Ciryl Gane in December with his first KO in the promotion.

After the fight Boser called out Maurice Greene.

“I’m not hurt at all. Throw me on Fight Island,” he said.

“He (Greene) wants to fight me on Fight Island. He told me at the pool a couple of days ago, a couple of beers deep, that he would be ready again to fight on Fight Island.

“You want to fight on Fight Island? You can’t duck me now, I’m calling you out.”

Bruh Boser hit him with punches, elbows, forearms, and just about everything else on the way down. Just flailed his arms like he was in a mosh pit and let er rip. Unreal. #UFCVegas4

Holyyyyyy smokes. Vicious KO for a very svelte Tanner Boser. Right hand behind the temple then a long flurry. Nice one.
