Emotional Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott suffers GRUESOME ankle injury as he’s carted off the field in tears against New York Giants

Dak Prescott is likely to spend a lot of time on the side lines after being carted off the field during the Dallas Cowboys’ NFL game against the New York Giants on Sunday.
The Cowboys’ star quarterback ran with the ball and was brought down by the Giants’ Logan Ryan, but his lower leg appeared to twist at an unnatural angle underneath the defender.
He is believed to have dislocated his ankle, and it was plain on Prescott’s face that there was something very wrong as his leg was placed in a cast.

He was then carted off the field in tears as he wiped his face with a towel, but he raised his fist in defiance as he was taken down the tunnel.
The Cowboys have stated that Prescott is being taken to a local hospital for further examination, where CBS Sports reporter Jason La Canfora claims he will undergo surgery.
The Cowboys haven’t had the best start to the season, winning just two of their five games so far, however Prescott had been on top form, breaking the NFL’s record for passing yards over a four-game span with 1,690.

Until now, he hasn’t missed a game in four years for the Cowboys, and is likely set for a big contract extension after good performances.
Earlier in the game against the Giants, Prescott even caught a touchdown pass after running a reverse pitch play where running back Ezekiel Elliott ended up throwing the ball to his quarterback downfield.
The Cowboys did have a 24-23 lead over the Giants when the injury happened, however New York pulled ahead after backup quarterback Andy Dalton came onto the field.
However a fantastic drive at the end resulted in Dallas getting the win 37-34 with a late field goal.
Prescott has received an outpouring of support on social media from all corners of the American football community, wishing him a speedy recovery.
