Tom Brady revealed his first football game as a 45-year-old left him with cuts and bruises as he questioned his future in the NFL.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion made his official return to football after briefly retiring this offseason as Tampa Bay drilled Dallas 19-3 on Sunday Night Football.

Speaking to Jim Gray on his weekly podcast, Let’s Go!, Brady conveyed the battering made him think about his football future.

The seven-time Super Bowl champ was battered at times during the Buccaneers 19-3 victory

‘You look at your arm and you got bruises, you got cuts and you go, ‘OK, how much longer do I want to make this commitment?,’ Brady told Gray.

‘And I obviously made the commitment for this year and everything’s going to be like always — continue to evaluate all these different aspects of playing.’

‘I think for me, I’m just going to take it day by day and I will evaluate it as it comes,’ he continued.

‘When you’re 45, your body changes a lot. So what am I dealing with now? I woke up today going, ‘Holy s***, there was a few hits’.

Brady is expected to retire again at the end of the 2022 season following a career like no other

‘One of these days [rumors] are going to be right… It’s really fun for me. I still enjoy [it]. I feel it out there, I feel the joy, I feel the happiness, I feel the camaraderie.’

Even before the season began, NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed those close to Brady think there is a finality about 2022.

‘He has never said it publicly, but multiple parties involved acknowledge that after last year’s retirement then unretirement, the end is coming,’ Rapoport said.

‘That is the understanding, that this is the final year.’

While Brady might be contented with his call, gossip continues to swirl that his wife, and supermodel Gisele Bundchen was quite opposed to his return to the league.

The Brazilian beauty reportedly left the couple’s Florida home for a Costa Rican vacation — and has since returned — because she was angered by his decision to return to the NFL after a 40-day retirement.

Gisele Bundchen has finally broken her silence on her husband Tom Brady’s U-turn decision to return to NFL after initially retiring, and says that she would like him to be more ‘present’

Bundchen spoke to Elle magazine for their October issue, expressing a desire to rejuvenate her career and the coinciding frustration with Brady continuing his.

‘I feel very fulfilled, as a mother and as a wife. And now it’s going to be my turn.’

‘I would like him to be more present,’ she said of her husband. ‘I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again.

‘But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.’

The model revealed she would like her husband and NFL superstar to ‘be more present’

The 42-year-old recounted how she has felt about moving away from the spotlight in order to allow Brady the scope to become a sporting deity.

‘I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.

‘Seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career—it makes me happy.’

But now it seems the Brazilian is more focused than ever on centering in on her ambitions beyond being a mother and wife.

‘I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do. At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose.’

Bundchen did show her support for Brady, online at least, prior to the Buccaneers opener, despite not attending the game in Arlington.

‘Let’s go @Tom Brady! Let’s go Bucs,’ she wrote on Twitter.

US Weekly recently reported Bundchen’s internal feelings on Brady’s U-turn, with one insider saying: ‘Gisele was not happy when Tom un-retired from the NFL after such a short time. There is tension between them.’

The source continued: ‘They’re working through things and trying to come out the other side.’

The seven-time Super Bowl winner was excused from training camp in August for 11 days as he attended to private matters.

Brady’s decision to return to play has reportedly resulted in tension between the power couple

‘It’s all personal, you know,’ the MVP replied when asked about his absence, August 27. ‘Everyone’s got different situations that they’re dealing with.

‘We all have really unique challenges to our life. I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of s**t going on, so just gotta figure out life the best you can. It’s a continuous process.’

The father of three, shares Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, nine with Gisele. His oldest son, Jack, 15, is from his relationship with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynihan.

Brady and the Bucs got off to the perfect start and will look to continue their strong start against bogey team, and division rival, New Orleans at Caesar’s Superdome on Sunday.
