MLB trade deadline tracker: Rumors, deals from Monday around baseball

Major League Baseball's trade deadline is set for 4 p.m. on Monday, a month later than usual due to the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.

We've already seen a number of deals go down in recent weeks – including a flurry on Sunday – but now teams around the league only have a few more hours to decide how they want to attack the final month of the season.

With eight playoff spots in each league, almost everybody is in contention and it will be fascinating to watch who decides to buy and sell on Monday.

Keep it here all day for updates and analysis from around the league:

Padres make another deal

San Diego Padres get: C/INF Austin Nola, RHP Austin Adams, RHP Dan Altavilla

Seattle Mariners get: C Luis Torrens, INF Ty France, OF Taylor Trammell, RHP Andres Muñoz

Instant analysis: San Diego is really going for it, swinging this seven-player deal after acquiring first baseman Mitch Moreland, reliever Trevor Rosenthal and catcher Jason Castro in separate deals over the weekend. Nola is hitting .306 with a .903 OPS and should take on a super-utility role with the Padres having played six different positions last season for Seattle.

The Mariners did well in this one by landing Trammell, MLB.com's No. 60 prospect.
