NFL Week 4 Weather Updates: Wind, rain could impact fantasy start ’em, sit ’em decisions

The Week 4 NFL weather forecast features three games, most notably the Colts and Bears, that could be affected by wind or rain. Fantasy football owners will want to double-check the forecast updates before locking in their start ’em, sit ’em decisions, especially when it comes to kickers and D/STs.

Before we get into the Week 4 forecasts, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don’t hesitate to reach out to Rotogrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. Chargers @ Buccaneers and Jaguars @ Bengals. Both games feature a good chance of seeing rain. The issue with trying to pinpoint rain ahead of time is that you really don’t know until right before kickoff if the rain will be directly over the stadium or just nearby the stadium. Being that neither game has high winds to go along with the rain threat, you can play this one as usual, and stay tuned to Twitter (@KevinRothWx) for updates on the rain before game time.

Colts @ Bears. Usually when people say “football weather,” they mean fairly ugly conditions. Sunday’s game in Chicago will definitely feature football weather. Chilly temps (50s), a chance for showers, and most important a biting wind at 15-20 mph. That wind will be strong enough to impact some deeper throws and kicks, so take the weather into consideration here when considering deep threats, kickers, and defenses (the latter of which will benefit).
