USA TODAY Sports’ Week 9 NFL picks: Do Buccaneers or Saints wind up with NFC South lead?

Week 9 marks the midpoint of the 2020 NFL season, and the league has managed to highlight the occasion with a nice smorgasbord of matchups rarely offered this deep into the fall.

For only the fifth time since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, the schedule will feature at least three games pairing teams with no more than two losses at this late stage of the calendar. The headline games are Seahawks at Bills, Ravens at Colts and – most noteworthy – Sunday night's Saints-Buccaneers rematch from Week 1 with first place in the NFC South on the line.

One other contest to monitor might actually be the Giants' visit to Washington. With the NFC East in such shambles, even a game with teams this bad could actually have significant playoff ramifications given all four divisional teams are still mired below .500.
