Lewis Hamilton explains weight fluctuation problems in topless Instagram video

Lewis Hamilton has urged his followers to stay active to help promotive positivity as he discusses his own weight fluctuations during his hectic F1 career.

The seven time world champion is a regular social media user, and has gained more than 20 million Instagram followers while keeping them updated on his life and career.

The 36-year-old, who is working to topple Michael Schumacher’s record which he tied last year, has now discussed his exercise habits after posting a topless clip online.

Hamilton spoke about his feeling uncomfortable at times due to changes in weight, and urged people to get active to release endorphins and start the day positively.

He wrote alongside the clip: "I’ve always been that skinny dude. Partly because of my job but mostly due to misguidance on diet, training, lack of certain workouts and bad sleep.

"Training is a struggle for me, it always has been. There are days when I just don’t have the motivation, days I hate my body, days where I feel fat or too skinny.

"My weight fluctuates a lot, up and down 2-3kg weekly depending on sleep, water and training. Remaining consistent is key but most important of all is eating right.
