Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak. Reports from Spain claim Sociedad do not want to sell Isak to La Liga rivals Barcelona and therefore the Gunners are out in front in the race for his signature.
Arsenal are set to be in the market for a striker this summer.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both out of contract at the Emirates at the end of the season.
Nketiah has rejected all offers of a renewal so far and Lacazette’s future appears to be elsewhere.
Former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also appears to see his days at the club numbered, meaning Mikel Arteta could let three striker options leave.

And Sweden international Isak is once again linked with a move to north London.
Catalan outlet El Nacional claims Arsenal are ‘close to signing’ Isak.
The report says Barca boss Xavi is a big fan of Isak as the Nou Camp club aim to rebuild their squad.
However, Sociedad do not want to strengthen a rival for the European spots in La Liga.

Isak would be keen on a move to Barca but Sociedad have made it clear they would have to pay the striker’s full release clause of £75.6million (€90m).
Barca’s current financial situation means they would unlikely be able to afford that amount for the 22-year-old.
That therefore leaves the door open for Arsenal, who El Nacional claims have the money to enter the market for Isak.
Arsenal were linked with Isak last summer but did not pursue a deal as Lacazette remained at the club.
But it appears their interest in the player has not dwindled and he is set to be a top target in 2022.
Isak joined Sociedad from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 and has scored 38 goals in 101 appearances for the Spanish side.
Last year, he stated his desire to one day play in the Premier League.
“I’m in a good place at the moment, I’m very happy, but one day it would be nice to play in England as well,” he told The Independent.
“They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world, it’s a very high level, and of course one day it would be an alternative.
“Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest possible level.
“I have expectations for myself that I’m trying to fulfil, so we’ll see where the journey takes me in future.”
