Arsenal fans were seen celebrating Manchester City's fourth goal in the away end at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday as the Gunners dropped to the bottom of the Premier League.
The defeat is the club's third in three matches in the league this season and sees them prop up the table with zero goals scored and nine conceded so far.
Mikel Arteta's side were not helped against the Premier League champions after Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka was sent off in the 35th minute for a two-footed lunge on Joao Cancelo.
The defeat will increase the pressure on Arteta after a poor start to the new season with defeats against Brentford and Chelsea in the last two weeks.
After failing to see their side even muster a shot on target at the Etihad, a large selection of the away supporters celebrated as Rodri added City's fourth goal in the 53rd minute.
On top of the lack of shots on target, Arsenal also had an embarrassingly low share of possession as they enjoyed just 9% of the ball.
Things started poorly for Arsenal, with City two goals in front inside 15 minutes after goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Ferran Torres.
Should Arsenal sack Mikel Arteta following their poor start to the season? Let us know in the comments section below.
Gabriel Jesus added a third shortly before half-time after Xhaka had received his marching orders, with Rodri making it 4-0 in the 53rd minute.
Torres then added a second in the final 10 minutes to round off the 5-0 victory and heap the pressure on Arteta.
The Gunners will look for their first Premier League goals and points in two weeks time after the international break when they host newly promoted Norwich City at the Emirates Stadium.
