Dennis Bergkamp's son Mitchel has reportedly been on trial at Arsenal.
According to Goal, the 22-year-old midfielder has spent the past week at the Gunners' London Colney training facility with the Under-23s squad.
He is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Almere City, the club where his father has been helping out as a coach.
Now, Bergkamp could follow in his father's footsteps having joined Arsenal's youth setup on trial, as they continue to wring the changes at all levels of the club.
Currently, Steve Bould's Under-23s are made up mainly of youngsters who are also eligible to play for the Under-18s, with only nine players not fitting that bill.
Under-23s players like Zech Medley, Zak Swanson, Trae Coyle, Matt Smith, Jordi Osei-Tutu, Ben Sheaf, Tyreece John-Jules, Mark McGuinness, Daniel Ballard, Tolaji Nola, Harry Clarke, James Olayinka and Tom Smith have all been sent out on loan this season and the Gunners have also made six new signings specifically for their academy.
As a result, the 22-year-old Bergkamp could offer some more experience to Bould's side and he has previously admitted his love for Arsenal because of his father's exploits at the club.
Speaking to Dutch outlet ELF Voetbal last year, Bergkamp said: "My father also played for Internazionale and Ajax, two wonderful clubs, but Arsenal feels like home.
"Whether I choose the Emirates or Highbury? I would have preferred to play at Highbury. There are the memories of everything my father has done for the club."
His father, who scored 120 goals in more than 300 appearances for Arsenal, recently spoke about his desire to find a new coaching role.

Bergkamp has not worked full-time since leaving Ajax in 2017 but, writing in his BBC Sport column, he said: "I am not actively looking for a job in football at the moment.
"But, more and more, I am thinking about getting back on the training pitch again, because that is what I love the most. Whatever I do next, though, I don't want to be a head coach. It's not my ambition and I like my freedom too much."
