Arsenal are reportedly at the front of the queue to swoop to sign Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser when the transfer window eventually re-opens.
Fraser was strongly linked with a move to the Emirates last summer after an impressive 2018-2019 campaign, but in the end stayed with the Cherries.
The 26-year-old has not been in such good form this season, however, scoring only once and creating just four assists in 28 Premier League appearances, but he is out of contract in June, and according to talkSPORT the Gunners are still interested in signing the player on a free transfer.
They are likely to face competition from Liverpool, however, who are said to have held advanced talks about a deal.
Fraser scored seven times and created 14 assists last season to help Bournemouth beat the drop, and was one of the most highly sought after players in the division as a result.
And in an interview with BBC Solent in January he admitted the speculation over his future may have been partly responsible for his recent below-par showings.
“I think everyone knows by now what has happened, to be honest with you," he said.
“It obviously affected me in the first four months of the season, I wasn’t myself and I didn’t play for the team, I’m honest enough to admit that.
