Barcelona ‘will NOT sell Antoine Griezmann this summer’ despite PSG being ready to seal Neymar’s sensational Nou Camp return by getting French World Cup winner in exchange
- Antoine Griezmann has struggled to settle at Barcelona after his £108m move
- The Frenchman is reported to be unhappy and he was strongly linked to an exit
- Swapping Griezmann to secure the return of Neymar from PSG looked possible
- However, the star has been confirmed as being in the Nou Camp side’s plans
Antoine Griezmann will be going nowhere this summer, with Barcelona making the Frenchman firmly part of their plans despite a sluggish start at the Nou Camp.
The World Cup winning forward has bagged just eight La Liga goals in 26 games this season, struggling to link-up consistently with Lionel Messi and Co after a £108m summer move from Atletico Madrid.
An early exit has been rumoured, with Manchester United and PSG interested in a move. The Paris side’s star-man, Neymar, has long flirted with a return to Catalonia since leaving, and a swap deal looked to be on the cards.

He has struggled to connect regularly with Lionel Messi, scoring just eight goals in La Liga
The scout who discovered Griezmann at the age of 13, Eric Olhats, even said: ‘You see that there are problems, that he isn’t enjoying it.’
However, Barcelona are planning for the future beyond the 2019-20 season with Griezmann in attack, according to Marca.
The striker’s contract runs out in 2024, and so far Quique Setien has kept faith in the 29-year-old, continuing to start him despite just one goal in his last nine games.

The La Liga season is on an indefinite hiatus due to the coronavirus crisis, with Barcelona sitting two points clear of rivals Real Madrid in a tight race.
Last season Griezmann recorded his lowest top-flight scoring tally since the 2012-13 season when he was still playing for Real Sociedad.
However, with 133 goals and 50 assists in 257 games for Atletico Madrid, the star can be expected to come good for the Spanish giants once he settles.
