They sourced gifts from all the sponsors of their players, who also include the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Alex Iwobi and Todd Cantwell, donating boots, trainers, items of clothing and other presents to donate to those in need.
England under-18 centre-back Simeu, who made Chelsea’s bench in the Champions League last season and skippers their under-23s, and Omole, who recently swapped Arsenal for Spurs, were on hand to help with the wrapping and delivering of the presents to Hackney-based Safehouse.
EPG football consultant Eddie Bonsu said: ‘This is something quite dear to our hearts. We’ve been doing it for years with a few of the players and this year, especially with what’s been going on with covid we really wanted to make a massive impact in the community as this is something we’ve all grown up around.
‘We’ve come from humble beginnings so the little that we can give back is massive for us. It’s an amazing gesture from the players and hopefully the little bit we do can contribute quite big to the local community.’
