Cristiano Ronaldo vented his frustration towards Fernando Santos after Portugal were beaten by Serbia in their final World Cup qualifier on Sunday evening.
Portugal only needed a draw in order to finish top of Group A and secure automatic qualification for next year’s World Cup in Qatar.
The Euro 2016 winners got off to an excellent start as Renato Sanches opened the scoring after two minutes.
But Serbia were level by half time through Dusan Tadic before Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the winner in the 90th minute.
The result means that Serbia have now finished top of Group A, while Portugal will need to win their play-off in order to reach the World Cup finals.
Following the final whistle, Ronaldo was visibly furious with the predicament Portugal have now been left in and the Manchester United forward threw up his arms in anger as he was approached by Santos.
¡Se calentó el Comandante! ð¥@Cristiano no estaba nada contento tras la derrota de Portugal ðµð¹ ante Serbia ð·ð¸ y asà le reclamó al seleccionador luso Fernando Santos.

In a post on Instagram on Monday, Ronaldo told his Portugal teammates that they have ‘no excuse’ to miss out on a place at next year’s World Cup.
‘Football has shown us time and again that sometimes it’s the winning road that lead us to the most desired wrecks,’ Ronaldo wrote.
‘Yesterday’s result was tough, but not enough to bring us down. The goal of attending the World Cup 2022 is still very much alive and we know what we have to do to get there.
‘No excuses. Portugal bound for Qatar.’
