Cristiano Ronaldo is showing little sign slowing down despite turning 36 earlier this year.
The Juventus superstar recorded another impressive goal tally in the previous campaign to add to his historic collection, scoring 36 times in 44 appearances for Andrea Pirlo's otherwise-underperforming side.
He clearly remains one of the best players the planet has to offer even in his mid 30s, and seemingly one of the quickest.
During Portugal's 0-0 friendly stalemate with Spain on Friday night, Ronaldo was spotted displaying incredible speed for a man nearing his 40s when Fernando Santos' men broke away on the counter-attack.
Sensational footage doing the rounds on social media shows the former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace sprinted from one box all the way down the other in just 10 seconds at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
Given the length of the pitch at Atletico Madrid's stadium is an estimated 105 metres, the clip appears to show him running a staggering 70 metres in that time.
Fans were left in awe at what they'd seen, taking to Twitter to wax lyrical about CR7.
One wrote: "This tweet made me realise that Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest player of all time."
Another put: "The GOAT for a reason".
While a third said: "Never doubt about my G.O.A.T".
Nevertheless, Ronaldo was unable to inspire Portugal to victory in their Euro 2020 warm-up against Spain.
Santos admitted his frustration at full-time, before insisting his side are more than capable of showing improvements at this summer's major tournament.
"We can do better, I'll be talking with the lads and we have the quality to improve," the Portugal boss said.
