Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho will not be allowed to return to England over Christmas.
The 20-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United since finding his feet in Germany, is currently battling a bout of poor form.
Sancho is yet to score in 11 Bundesliga outings so far in a season that included the sacking of Lucien Favre, but he had insisted that he didn’t let transfer rumours unsettle him.
In keeping with the recent restrictions, Sancho and Jude Bellingham have been handed some bad news by the club as they stand firm over UK travel during the festive period.
Sporting director Michael Zorc has said: "As a result, we cannot allow them to travel to England over the Christmas period.”
Dortmund caretaker Edin Terzic adressed Sancho’s form this week, and he admitted that something is not quote right for the youngster.
He said: ”He really wants to win, he really wants to show something.
“But what Jadon lacks is the ease and magic we are used to from him."
After scoring in the Champions League win over Brugge in November, Sancho spoke about his form.
He said: ”I am just happy that I am playing.
"I have coaches and teammates that believe in me. Recently, it's been a hard situation for me.
“But it's all about how I come back and have performances like this [against Brugge]. They will hopefully get me back to the top, how I was playing before."
