Emi Martinez produces ‘greatest save of all-time’ to deny France in 123rd minute

Emiliano Martínez produced the 'greatest save of all-time' to gift Lionel Messi his first World Cup trophy in his final chance.

With just seconds left on the clock, and the score level at 3-3, Randal Kolo Muani found himself through on goal. However, the Aston Villa star was quick off his line and made himself big to keep Argentina alive and penalties a possibility.

Martinez would then bat away Kingsley Coman's spot-kick, and his antics saw Aurelien Tchouameni blast the ball wide. Gonzalo Montiel sent Hugo Lloris the wrong way to crown Argentina champions of the world for the third time.
