Gareth Bale is reportedly interested in a return to Tottenham instead of Manchester United this summer as he seeks an exit from Real Madrid. United are understood to have added Bale to their list of targets if they fail to get their hands on Jadon Sancho.
Bale could make a sensational return to Tottenham this summer with the Welshman openly seeking a way out at Real Madrid.
The forward has stated that he is open to a return to the Premier League.
And it was thought that United would be the club to get him on board due to his high wage demands.
However, ESPN claim that the Red Devils are stalling on a move, which could lead him to rejoin Spurs instead.

Tottenham got off to a terrible start to their Premier League season by losing to Everton on Sunday.
Mourinho made it very clear after the match he needed investment into his squad, and contact with Real over Bale is now understood to have been initiated.
It’s thought that he is desperate to ensure he has regular game time this season to be in tip top condition for the delayed Euro 2020 next summer.

Bale emerged onto the scene with Tottenham after joining from Southampton for £5m, scoring 55 goals in 203 games for the north London club.
The 31-year-old then became the most expensive player of all-time in 2013 when he joined Real Madrid in an £80m switch.
Former United midfielder Luke Chadwick thinks that signing Bale would provide a huge lift at Old Trafford as he would get fans off their seats.

Chadwick told CaughtOffside: “I think Bale would certainly give a buzz around the place.
“He’s obviously had a tough few years and not played the amount of football he would have hoped, but in terms of the sort of player he is, when you talk about Man United players of the past, he’s someone who would get the crowd excited, get fans off their seats.
“A wide player in the mould of Sancho, Bale, in my opinion would be a fantastic signing. One of those two, or someone in that position, needs to come in.”
