Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has predicted that Manchester United will continue to win every game they need to from now until the end of the season.

City beat Aston Villa on Wednesday night to extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.

Guardiola's side are now just three wins away from a third league title in just four years, but United are still holding out hope.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his side playing their best football since he took over from Jose Mourinho, and they've won their last five on the trot, conceding just three times in that time.

United have a habit of winning must-win games and struggling against sides they should beat.

And Guardiola believes the Red Devils will continue to grind out results when needed.

They've got some tough games coming up, with a trip to Leeds as well as games against Liverpool, Aston Villa and Leicester.

"Losing today would have made the last games dangerous, because United are in top form," he said.

"[United are] winning a lot, and I have the feeling that if they needed to win, they are going to win.

"We deserved to win for the way we have played so far this season to have this advantage, and when you arrive in the last five games depending just on yourself, it is a good boost."

City have a fairly comfortable run-in, despite a game against Chelsea, but also have the Carabao Cup final and a Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain to come.

United need to continue to win every game remaining, however, in order to force City into a title race.
