Is Man City vs Arsenal on TV today? Kick-off time, channel and how to watch Premier League fixture

Mikel Arteta is desperate to get his team back to winning ways in the Premier League after two defeats in two so far.

The Gunners did pick up a big win against Championship outfit West Brom in midweek, in the EFL Cup, but points on the board in the top flight are a big requirement now after another summer of heavy expenditure to bring in Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale in particular.

Manchester City present formidable opposition, though, and Pep Guardiola is of course credited with teaching Arteta much during his time as assistant – so a fascinating tactical battle could await if the Gunners can improve on last week’s easy defeat by Chelsea.

Neither club are staying absolutely clear of late-window transfers, though departures seem more likely than further arrivals for the Gunners.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match.

When is the game?

The match kicks off at 12:30pm on Saturday 28 August at the Etihad Stadium.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be shown live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate. Subscribers can stream the match via the BT Sport app and desktop website.

What is the team news?

City will be without Benjamin Mendy for the foreseeable future as he has been suspended after being charged with multiple counts of rape and kept in police custody after an initial court hearing. Phil Foden remains sidelined through injury, as does Kevin de Bruyne.

Arsenal are set to make changes despite a big midweek win in the League Cup. Thomas Partey, Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Magalhaes, Hector Bellerin and Ben White are all out. Keiran Tierney and Bukayo Saka have knocks, but are likely starters anyway.
