Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho reportedly prefers a move to Manchester United over Chelsea and Liverpool because of his budding friendship with Marcus Rashford.t level.
The two attackers became close while on international duty with England and Rashford could play his part in helping Sancho adjust to life at Old Trafford.
Rashford has recently admitted he would like Sancho to help him return the Red Devils to their former glory.
And the Athletic claim the feeling is reciprocated and the Dortmund star is keen to link up with his international team-mate.
Liverpool and Chelsea may be higher in the Premier League table but they struggle to justify shelling out £100million.
That leaves United at the front of the queue to wrap up a deal this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted he is using the suspension of the Premier League season to help him work on his transfer targets.
The worldwide coronavirus pandemic has the UK on lockdown and fixtures have been postponed indefinitely.
There are talks ongoing which could see matches played behind closed doors from June.
Some clubs have been hit hard by the lack of income during the lockdown but Solskjaer insists United will be fine and will still have funds available for transfers.

“Of course there will be text messages and WhatsApp messages more often,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
“But the biggest difference for most of us is that when you’re a footballer you don’t really get to spend much time with your family.
“We are planning what we have to do and what we can do and the club has been so good.
“That’s been a big plus, if you’re allowed to say that anything has been a big plus in this situation.
“But yes, we are planning, we are discussing what we have to do, what we can do, and I have to say the club has been very good so far.”
Solskjaer is hoping to complete his squad overhaul at the end of the season after being backed in the last two transfer windows.
This time the Norwegian was to add some firepower to his squad and he sees Sancho as the ideal star to take the team to the next level.
