Jamie Carragher dug up an old tweet from Gary Neville to mock his punditry colleague following his former club’s exit from the FA Cup on Sunday evening.
The Red Devils lost 3-1 to Leicester at the King Power Stadium, Kelechi Iheanacho striking twice to book his side’s place in the quarter-final.
The result means that United’s only realistic chance of a trophy this season is the Europa League.

Carragher found a tweet from Neville in January which read: ‘football on Thursday nights ain’t that bad’.
He then shared it, commenting ‘especially when you’ve got f*** all else’.
Iheanacho scored two poacher’s goals to set up a last-four clash with Southampton.
The Europa League is United’s last real chance of a trophy after Sunday’s defeat
The Foxes took the lead following a horrendous error from Manchester United’s Fred, whose backpass became a through-ball for Iheanacho. The Nigerian collected it and rounded the keeper before firing home in the 24th minute.
United struck back seven minutes before halftime as Mason Greenwood rifled Paul Pogba’s centre into the net, but they went behind again early in the second half as Youri Tielemans surged forward and fired into the bottom corner.
United’s woeful defence was exposed again in the 78th minute as Iheanacho was left completely unmarked at the far post to head home Marc Albrighton’s free kick, sealing the victory and sending his side into the semis.
