Jose Mourinho was tolled by Tottenham fans as outcast Dele Alli scored a sensational bicycle kick in the Europa League.

The Englishman was given just his eight start of the season in the round-of-32 second leg against Wolfsberger.

It was a chance for the 24-year-old to show what he can do, having been subjected to little game time under the Portuguese boss this season.

And he only needed 10 minutes to show what the Spurs boss is missing from his regular XI with the opening goal.

Having worked the ball up the pitch himself, Alli receives it back from Matt Doherty in the middle of the penalty box.

Lifting it up into the air, the midfielder has his back turned to goal – but it does not stop him putting an acrobatic effort towards goalkeeper Manuel Kuttin.

And there is nothing the Wolfsberger shot-stopper can do as the ball sails into the top-left corner for the opener.

When the clip was shared on Twitter, the Spurs faithful shared their frustrations at Mourinho for not including Alli in their regular XI.

"Dele Alli proving Mourinho wrong," one supporter said.

Another commented: "Alli sending a message to Mourinho – what a fantastic goal."

While a third added: "Always worth remembering Mourinho had not played Alli all season when he can do things like that."

And a fourth sent a direct message to the Spurs boss, with: "Surely Jose Mourinho must start Dele Alli next match in the Premier League."
