Chelsea target Jules Kounde is ‘buzzing’ to move to Stamford Bridge with personal terms agreed, it has been claimed. The France international is being eyed by Thomas Tuchel. And negotiations with Sevilla remain ongoing as they look to close the deal.
Chelsea have had a quiet transfer window so far.
Manchester United have already signed Tom Heaton and Jadon Sancho, with Real Madrid star Raphael Varane primed to follow.
Arsenal have also been active, snapping up Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares so far.
And Manchester City are making progress on a deal for Jack Grealish as they look to retain their Premier League title next time out.
Chelsea, in comparison, have been quiet.
However, in recent days, they’ve made good progress on a deal for Kounde – agreeing personal terms with the France international and entering talks with Sevilla.

Now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update.
And he claims the centre-back is ‘buzzing’ about moving to Chelsea, while also revealing Sevilla wanted more money on top of Kurt Zouma if they’re to let their prized asset go.
“Talks ongoing between Chelsea and Sevilla for Jules Koundé but Sevilla want more than €30/35m [if Kurt Zouma will be confirmed as part of the deal],” he said on Twitter.
“Koundé agreed personal terms with Chelsea two days ago – he’s buzzing to join CFC.
“NO chance for Marquinhos.”
Chelsea see Kounde as a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva as the Brazil international enters the twilight years of his career.

And all signs point to them agreeing a deal for the Euro 2020 star sooner, rather than later, as they look to get their summer going.
Spanish football expert Terry Gibson feels Kounde will be a great signing for Chelsea, insisting he’s tailor-made for the Premier League.
“He would be an excellent fit for anybody in the Premier League and it’s no surprise that Chelsea are trying to get him,” he said on talkSPORT.
“He’s a diminutive central defender, but he’s really good in the air.
“He’s quick, good on the ball and can play centre-back and right back as well.

“I think he’s an excellent player but I’d be surprised if it happens because Sevilla, having sold Bryan Gil, the player they wanted to keep is Jules Kounde.
“They are hoping that the finances received from Gil would enable them to keep him, but it appears perhaps the player believes it might be time to move on to a club which is challenging for the title.”
Another player Chelsea want is Erling Haaland.
And Tony Cascarino has backed his old team to bring in a ‘marquee name’ before the transfer window slams shut.
“Chelsea have earned a lot of money in the last year or so, with the Champions League and selling Eden Hazard,” he said.
“I cannot believe they’re not going to break the bank and sign someone like Haaland.
“They are going to do a really big transfer, in my opinion.
“It’s been so quiet, the storm is coming – because Roman [Abramovich] has always done it, he’s always backed the club.
“I would be absolutely gobsmacked if they go in with the squad they’ve got today, even though they are European champions.
“Giroud has gone, Tammy is rumoured to be leaving as well, they’re making space.
“For them to do that, they are planning a mind-boggling transfer, and I think it will be Haaland.
“They’re going to offer big money for somebody and I suspect it would be him.”
