Liverpool host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League tonight as they look to book their place in the knockout stages of the competition. The Reds have won all three of their European matches this term.

Liverpool stunned Atletico to claim a famous victory at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium a fortnight ago.

And victory at Anfield would see Liverpool through to the last 16.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were thwarted by Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday as they relinquished a two-goal advantage to draw 2-2.

And the German boss could make three changes to his side for the visit of Madrid as Liverpool look to embark on another memorable night in Europe.

Express Sport looks at how Klopp’s team could line-up at Anfield.

Goalkeeper – Alisson

Alisson never misses a game for Liverpool when he’s fit and available and Klopp be looking for his goalkeeper to keep the potent Atletico attack at bay in this one.

The Brazil international is yet to keep a clean sheet in Europe this season but will be looking to change that this evening.

Defence – Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson

Klopp has changed up his backline in recent weeks as Ibrahima Konate has been preferred to Joel Matip in the centre of defence.

But Klopp could revert to his usual back four and bring Matip back into the fold to partner Virgil van Dijk tonight.

Van Dijk felt the wrath of his manager at the weekend as he was blasted from the touchline during the second half.

But he will line-up at centre-back once again for this encounter as he looks to rediscover his best form.

Meanwhile, Trent Alexander Arnold and Andrew Robertson will provide the width from the full-back positions.

Midfield – Fabinho, Henderson, Jones

Klopp has been boosted by the return of Fabinho this week and the Brazil international could go straight into the starting team.

The Reds always look much more assured with Fabinho protecting the back four and the 28-year-old could replace Naby Keita, who has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Captain Jordan Henderson will provide energy and experience in the centre of the pitch after starting all three of his side’s Champions League games this season.

He could line-up alongside youngster Curtis Jones.

Forwards – Salah, Jota, Mane

The Liverpool attack has been in scintillating form this season and have helped their team rack-up a staggering 11 goals in the Champions League this season.

Salah has already struck five times in Europe and will be looking to continue his purple patch, with Sadio Mane on the opposite side of a front three.

Diogo Jota might be recalled to spearhead the attack after Roberto Firmino produced a lacklustre display against Brighton.
