Manchester City talisman Kevin De Bruyne has hailed Manchester United and Chelsea transfer target Jadon Sancho.
De Bruyne briefly trained with Sancho at the Etihad before the English winger left Man City to join Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
Sancho has developed into one of the most exciting players in Europe at Dortmund, scoring 31 goals in 90 appearances for the German club.
The 20-year-old is being strongly linked with a return to the Premier League – with United and Chelsea both interested in striking a deal.
Discussing Sancho on an Instagram Live Q&A with Belgium team-mates Romelu Lukaku and Axel Witsel, De Bruyne said: ‘He is crazy.
‘It’s weird, I trained a few times with him and he was gone. Unbelievable. Sometimes it goes like this but it is good for him.
‘Now if you want him you have to pay… I don’t want to know!’
As Manchester United and Chelsea continue to be linked with Sancho, reports say Dortmund have slapped a stunning £120m price-tag on his head.
Red Devils legend Rio Ferdinand hopes Sancho completes a move to Old Trafford but has warned the youngster he must be mentally prepared for life at Manchester United.
‘[Ousmane] Dembele, who was at Dortmund before and went to Barcelona, was thought of very similarly, he went for massive money, but it’s not quite worked out at Barcelona, and that’s what I don’t want to see happen with Jadon,’ Ferdinand said on Instagram Live.
‘I want to see Jadon go a team where he’s going to play, for starters, and have a team and management staff who can help him improve and he can see a pathway to getting trophies.
‘The likes of Barcelona are interested in him but they are too heavily loaded. I think United is the place for him to go because I’m biased.’
Asked if Sancho should wear United’s No.7 shirt, Ferdinand replied: ‘Of course. Has to.
‘If he’s going to wear the No.7 he has to be there for 10 years, that’s what that shirt deserves and demands.’
