Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Kylian Mbappe by calling the Paris Saint-Germain star the player with "the brightest future" to heighten speculation linking the prolific Frenchman with a move to Liverpool.
The World Cup winner has enjoyed another stellar season with the Ligue 1 club, scoring 29 goals and providing 17 assists in 30 appearances in all competitions.
The 21-year-old's remarkable form has seen him linked with a lucrative £250million move to European giants Real Madrid or Liverpool.
And Reds boss Klopp has escalated the speculation that Liverpool will enter the market for the former Monaco man by identifying him as the most talented up-and-coming player in Europe.
When asked if he would like the opportunity to coach Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Sergio Aguero, the former Borussia Dortmund manager instead chose to highlight that there are many elite talents across Europe.
"Where is Neymar on that list? Where is [Robert] Lewandowski on that list? There are so many good players out there, and they are all really good. I had Lewandowski," Klopp told beIN Sports.
However, he reserved special praise for Mbappe and also expressed his admiration for another transfer target – Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
Klopp added: “Mbappe has the biggest future. We can speak about Jadon Sancho as well, so they’re all coming up.”
Mbappe burst onto the scene with Monaco before guiding France to the World Cup in 2018 with four goals at the tournament, where he won the Best Young Player award.
