Liverpool are ready to break the bank and sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele as a replacement for Sadio Mane, according to sensational reports from Spain.
Mane has struggled for form this season and has found the back of the net only five times since 2021.
What's more, the Senegal international forward is 29 years old now and not short of suitors willing to pay big money for him in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool are reportedly considering cashing in on Mane at the end of the season but would need to replace him with an established forward capable of hitting the ground running at Anfield.
According to a report from Fichajes.net, this is where Dembele comes in.
The France international has just one year left on his contract at Barcelona and is yet to sign an extension – despite a new deal being put in front of the forward.
The new contract is apparently the same as Dembele's current deal, meaning Liverpool could entice the former Dortmund star to Anfield with the promise of extra cash.
Barcelona, who are in huge debt and are linked with Erling Haaland, may also be interested in selling Dembele this summer to ensure they receive a transfer fee for the man they broke the bank for back in 2017.
Dembele is still only 23 and would seemingly be a good fit in Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool system.
The report claims that Liverpool would be willing to break the bank to make the transfer happen should Mane leave.
