Romelu Lukaku's loan move back to Inter Milan looks all but finalised after the Belgian was pictured grinning from ear-to-ear with a club scarf after completing his medical on Wednesday.
Less than 12 months after signing for Chelsea in stunning £97.5 million deal, Lukaku is back in blue and black after pushing hard for a return to the San Siro – having fallen out with Blues boss Thomas Tuchel mid-way through last season.
He posed for photos and declared that he was "very happy to be back" before being whisked away in a car.

The 29-year-old touched down in Milan earlier this week and looked full of beans as he greeted fans at the airport ahead of his £6.9 million season-long loan move.
Speaking on Tuesday, Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed the move, insisting how "happy" everyone at the club was to have their star man home again.
"We have to thank the availability of the presidency and the owners. I hope it can be closed, not in a few hours, but a few days," he said. "He is a returning player who has done very well with us and we are happy to bring him home."

Lukaku's return to Stamford Bridge last summer actually started brightly. He scored four goals in his opening four matches and looked every bit the brutish hitman he'd been at Inter for the previous two seasons.
But a lengthy spell on the treatment table and a Covid-19 diagnosis severed his momentum, and after claiming he was being tactically mis-used by Tuchel during an ill-advised interview for Italian TV, his Chelsea future was plunged into serious jeopardy.
He dropped to the bench and barely got a look in beyond Christmas, with Tuchel using Kai Havertz as his first-choice centre forward for the remainder of the campaign.
