Manchester United fans have begged their club to make a move for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves after the midfielder’s impressive display against Tottenham.
Neves has been the subject of transfer speculation for much of the summer as Wolves looked to rebuild their squad following the departure of manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Arsenal, Liverpool and the Red Devils have all been linked with a move for the Portuguese international, who has starred for Wolves in recent seasons.
Despite the links with a departure, Neves has instead so far stayed at Molineux and was selected to start against Tottenham in Wolves’ second match of the season.

The 24-year-old played alongside Joao Moutinho in central midfield in new manager Bruno Lage’s 3-4-3 system for the visit of Spurs.
Tottenham ultimately narrowly won the game thanks to Dele Alli’s early penalty, but Neves starred for the hosts.
He made the most successful passes, the most passes in the final third and the most accurate long passes.
Neves was solid in defence, making six successful tackles, as well as being an attacking force, creating five chances as Wolves had 25 shots.

Though he ended up on the losing side, Neves’ performance drew the eye of United supporters, who have begged their club to bring him to Old Trafford.
Defensive midfield appears to be the final weakness in United’s squad, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer unable to trust Fred, Scott McTominay or Nemanja Matic to play as a sole holding player.
Those problems were on full display in the draw with Southampton on Sunday, in which Fred and Matic were selected as the two holding midfielders.
In the aftermath of that disappointing result and on hearing about Neves’ impressive performance, United fans were left desperate to sign him.
“If United want a top four finish at least, sign this guy,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Just swap this guy for McFred and Matic,” added another supporter.
“Exactly what we were missing today,” a third wrote in reply to a listing of Neves stats from the Spurs defeat.
