Manchester United supporters are desperate to see Amad Diallo get a run in the side following fresh injury blows at Old Trafford.
Anthony Martial picked up a problem on international duty which is more serious than first anticipated.
Speaking to MUTV before kick-off against Brighton on Sunday evening, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed: "Unfortunately, he sprained his knee with France.
"It’s always when they go away on internationals… you can keep your fingers crossed and hope they come back fit.
"Losing Anthony for what might be the rest of the season is very disappointing, especially when reports from there [France] was that it wasn’t anything serious but it looks a bad one."
Then after the 2-1 win over Brighton at Old Trafford, Solskjaer confirmed Rashford's injury which forced him off 20 minutes from time.
The boss said: "It's one of them again, your fingers are crossed and you hope he's going to recover from it. He had to come off but he's a tough one."
Diallo was an unused substitute as Solskjaer turned to Daniel James, Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay from off the bench.
But a big future is anticipated for the new recruit at Old Trafford, who has made four first-team appearances to date since arriving mid-season from Atalanta.
Diallo scored in the Europa League round of 16 first leg 1-1 draw with AC Milan, and fans want to see more of the talented teenage winger.
On Twitter, one fan wrote: “Amad should be our starting right winger until we sign a new one and I’m not sure I can be convinced otherwise. And while martial is out, Greenwood should be starting central unless Cavani commits to a new deal.”
Another added: “Real shame about Martial, the only solace in it is that it's a huge opportunity for Amad to have more of a bigger role in this present business end to the season.”

A third put: “Amad Diallo should be starting in our RW and Greenwood as our striker can’t have Cavani starting up front this man is only here for a heavy retirement package.”
And a fourth fan moaned: “Can we have #Amad yet? Cavani can't pass wind today.”
United face Granada next on Thursday in their Europa League quarter-final first leg.
And then the Red Devils go to Tottenham where they face old boss Jose Mourinho in north London for their next Premier League clash.
