Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Ruben Neves after Wolves reportedly agreed a loan deal with Lille for Renato Sanches.
Sanches, 24, impressed last season as Lille pipped Paris Saint-Germain to the Ligue 1 title and he backed up those performance at the European Championships with Portugal.
talkSPORT understands the former Swansea City and Bayern Munich man will move to Molineux on a season-long loan, which could be good news for United.
His arrival will allow Wolves to let Neves sign for the Red Devils, who are equipped with an extra £30million with the impending sale of Dan James to Leeds.
Neves has been linked with a move away from the Midlands club all summer, with United and Arsenal frequently touted as possible destinations.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have shown the most interest in the 24-year-old with United's midfield still looking unbalanced despite their impressive start to the season.
Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes have both enjoyed terrific starts to the campaign, but neither offer the protection that would come with the acquisition of Neves.

His arrival would provide an upgrade on the defensive capabilities of Fred, who was criticised for his performance at the weekend, coincidentally against Wolves.
Adama Traore had a field day up against the 28-year-old, highlighting the need for United to dip in the market with Scott McTominay set to be out injured for some time yet.
Fred also does not provide the calming attributes that a player in his position usually does, exacerbating the need for Solskjaer to sign someone who can complement the club's forward talents.

Neves has shown during his time at Wolves that he can be that player – and he has a keen eye for a pass too.
