Manchester United have extended Timothy Fosu-Mensah's contract.
The 22-year-old centre-back's current deal was set to expire in just a few months, but the Red Devils have triggered the option to extend it by another year, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Fosu-Mensah isn't the only United player to have his contract extended in recent months. Both Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic have seen their stays at Old Trafford extended by two years and one year respectively.
Matic is also in talks over a new deal, which could see him remain a Manchester United player beyond 2021, when his current contract expires.
Fosu-Mensah's contract being extended means Angel Gomes is the only remaining first-team player set to be a free agent when the summer transfer window opens.
United do not have the option of extending the 19-year-old's current deal, meaning the club must tie him down to new terms before June.
Whether the Red Devils can manage this remains to be seen.
