Manchester United have received their first transfer offer of the summer transfer window, leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a decision to make. The Red Devils are looking to upgrade their squad in order to mount a stronger Premier League title challenge next season.
While that will mean signings being brought into Old Trafford, departures from the club are also expected as Solskjaer refreshes his team.
One of the areas that is expected to see recruits is at right-back, with Solskjaer looking for better competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Wan-Bissaka quickly became the first-choice upon his arrival from Crystal Palace, though there remain question marks over his attacking abilities.
Currently, the Englishman’s competition comes in the form of Portuguese Under-21 international Diogo Dalot.

But the 22-year-old has failed to convince Solskjaer he can be the man to challenge Wan-Bissaka in the same way Alex Telles has been for Luke Shaw.
Having failed to appear in any of United’s final 12 top-flight matches of the 2019/2020 season, Dalot was sent out on loan to AC Milan.
The loan was certainly a successful one, with Dalot gaining valuable minutes under Milan boss Stefano Pioli.
While he was not a regular starter, he still made 21 appearances in Serie A as the Rossoneri were runners-up, their first appearance in the top four since 2012/2013.

He also appeared in all 10 Europa League games as Milan reached the quarter-finals of the competition, where they were knocked-out by Dalot’s parent club.
Dalot has now returned to Old Trafford, with the loan move having now come to an end.
But it appears that Pioli and Milan are keen to bring the right-back back to Italy over this summer’s transfer window.
Italian news website Calciomercato report that the Serie A giants have submitted their first offer for the 22-year-old.
It comes in the form of another season-long loan deal, with the option to turn that into a permanent deal.
The two sides do remain separated on their views for an ideal transfer, with the report stating United could accept a loan offer if it came with an obligation to buy.
Milan have reportedly offered an initial price of £15.5million for the defender, though it is believed that a bid of £13.8m would be enough to convince United to sell.
The bid leaves Solskjaer with a decision to make, as though the Red Devils are eyeing a move for Kieran Trippier, letting Dalot leave would mean Wan-Bissaka would be the only right-back at the club.
