Manchester United fans were left fuming as Harry Maguire was denied a penalty despite appearing to be fouled in the box against Everton.
United were 2-1 ahead at Goodison Park when Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and defender Michael Keane both clashed with Pickford.
It was the Red Devils man that got the ball first with VAR checking to see whether he should have been awarded a penalty.
As it was, VAR decided no spot-kick should be awarded, leaving United fans fuming on social media with Pickford having also not been punished when tackling Virgil van Dijk recently.
One raged: “That's twice Pickford has cleaned out people in penalty area. I can't believe it. VAR is a joke!”
While another added: “How was that Pickford challenge not a penalty? This is incredible!”
A third put: “WTF did Jordan Pickford think he was doing.. Clearly a Foul on Maguire and VAR said NO..Even the commentary team was so sure it was a Penalty.. What's the deal between VAR and Pickford.”
One more questioned: “Are refs that afraid of Pickford to give a penalty against him, second time he’s got away with it.”
Pickford returned to the Everton team having been dropped for Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle.

Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti said: "There's no doubt he is, and will be, better in the future.
"He knows what to do tomorrow. His mentality is good, I don't want to change it. I think sometimes he made mistakes because he thought too much."
"He has to use his instinct more, which is really good. He made fantastic saves because when he reacts he's really top.
“When he has to act, sometimes he makes some mistakes in that situation but he's still a young goalkeeper with a lot of quality, and there he can improve.

"I've had fantastic goalkeepers, young, like [Italy great Gianluigi] Buffon and others that improved their quality through the mistakes they made in training.
