Manchester United transfer news is coming thick and fast ahead of the summer transfer window. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are flying high in the Premier League at present but, despite that, know they need reinforcements if they’re to win the title next term. So Express Sport will now bring you all the latest news and gossip emerging from the club, with Erling Haaland and Anthony Martial featuring.
Haaland made move
Manchester United have made their move to sign Haaland this summer.
That’s according to Sport, who claim the Red Devils are now actively pursuing a transfer ahead of the summer window.
No other details are given about the development.
But it seems as though United are confident of getting Haaland, despite facing strong competition from European and domestic rivals.
Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also admirers of the Norway international.

Martial feelings surface
United have seen Anthony Martial blow hot and cold this term, with the France international scoring just four Premier League goals.
Yet The Athletic claim the Red Devils won’t be selling the former Monaco star this summer.
While that’s the case, however, some within the club reportedly thought Martial was always destined to have a drop-off in form.
And United aren’t entirely happy with the Frenchman, especially given their interest in Haaland.
Martial is currently behind both Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood when it comes to the No 9 position in Solskjaer’s side.

Lingard new contract
United are ready to hand Jesse Lingard a new three-year contract.
That’s according to The Sun, who say Solskjaer has been blown away by the England international’s performances for West Ham.
Lingard moved to the London Stadium in the January transfer window having struggled for game time at Old Trafford.
But the 28-year-old has scored five goals and registered two assists from seven appearances for the Hammers since his move in January.
And he could now be primed to remain with the club.
Man Utd were close to Sarr signing
United were ‘extremely close’ to signing Watford star Ismailia Sarr back in the summer transfer window of 2020, according to former Hornets technical director Filippo Giraldi.
“We were extremely close, I was personally negotiating with them,” he told the Here We Go podcast.
“We weren’t able to reach an agreement. And I think Ismaila is very young, he will arrive for sure.
“He missed probably an opportunity, but I think also for his football to stay here and get 10 goals and 10 assists, he’s deciding the league.
“I think for Watford in the condition they are at the moment it’s lucky he stayed.”
Cavani urged to leave
Uruguay assistant coach Mario Rebollo thinks Cavani should leave United this summer amid talk he could be on his way to Boca Juniors.
“It helps the national team if Cavani goes to Boca or wherever,” he said.
“The priority is that he plays where he is comfortable and with a good competitive level. If he’s close to here it’d be great, but if he’s not comfortable he would not bear it much.
“It would be good for us if Cavani plays where he feels most comfortable. It makes no difference to me if it’s Boca or another place, just where he’s better.
“We have to have him with rhythm and competition.”
