Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is reportedly plotting three signings during the January transfer window in order to give manager Thomas Tuchel his 'dream XI'.
The Blues currently sit top of the Premier League after 11 matches and are three points clear of nearest challengers Manchester City and West Ham United.
Marca report that Granovskaia is targeting Matthijs De Ligt, Jules Kounde and Lorenzo Insigne in the new year to beef up Tuchel's squad.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with both De Ligt and Kounde in recent months as they look to bolster their defensive options following the sale of Kurt Zouma.
The club had intended to replace Zouma with Kounde in the final days of the summer transfer window, but failed with a late bid to sign the Frenchman from Sevilla.
Despite agreeing personal terms with Kounde, Chelsea refused to meet the release clause in the 23-year-old's contract in order to complete the deal.
Manchester United are also reportedly interested in Kounde and Sevilla are understood to be against selling him before next summer.

The other central defender Granovskaia is targeting is Juventus' Matthijs De Ligt, who the Blues have also been linked with recently along with Barcelona.
Chelsea's choice to pursue new centre backs comes as the futures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger remain doubtful.
The duo are both out of contract at the end of this season and are so far yet to agree new deals with the European champions.
The final target is Italian winger Lorenzo Insigne, who Chelsea previously wanted in 2017 while his compatriot Antonio Conte was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea hope that the 30-year-old can add experience to their youthful frontline and provide greater consistency in Romelu Lukaku's absence.
Insigne's contract expires at the end of the season and talks with Napoli over a new deal have reportedly stalled after the Serie A outfit asked him to take a 50% pay cut.
