Arsenal spent more than any other Premier League side during the transfer window as six new faces emerged at the Emirates. Due to the influx, some current stars have to depart, and Mikel Arteta may finally get rid of one of his stars after a failed summer move.
Arsenal spent more in the transfer market this summer than any other Premier League side, as £150million was spent on six new signings as Mikel Arteta looks to rebuild the club.
Despite the overhaul, their season got off to the worst possible start, as three consecutive league defeats with no goals scored marked their worst ever start to a top-flight division.
Thankfully for Arteta, his side appear to have turned things around and the signings have now gelled, and the Gunners boss seems to have found his best team after some tinkering.
That leaves some players surplus to requirements, and Sead Kolasinac may finally leave the club in January after interest over the summer.

Kolasinac was signed on a free transfer from Schalke in 2017 and was quickly adored by the fans as he won multiple player of the month awards at the beginning of his time at Arsenal.
However, things very quickly changed and the Bosnian international fell out of favour under Unai Emery, and Arteta has also left Kolasinac on the fringes of the first-team.
The defender ultimately returned to his former side on loan in January but Schalke were relegated after an awful season in the Bundesliga, and Kolasinac came back to London.
It seemed as though the Bosnian would leave Arsenal for good this summer after heavy interest from Fenerbahce, but the deal never materialised, although the Turkish side are now ‘insistent’ that they will sign him in January.

According to Turkish outlet Yeni Asir, Fenerbahce will sign the 28-year-old in the January transfer window and they are insistent this time that a deal will be done.
Fenerbahce manager Vitor Pereira has made it clear that if the Bosnian star was transferred, the left-wing problem that they currently face would be eliminated in their 3-4-2-1 system.
It is reported that the Turkish side will secure a deal for Kolasinac as soon as the window opens, and want to sign him on a free contract after it was revealed that they don’t want to pay a fee to the English team.
The defender’s current contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season, and the Turkish source state that the Gunners wouldn’t have any difficulties in allowing the transfer, and state that Kolasinac wants to come to Fenerbahce.
A move to Fenerbahce would see Kolasinac reunite with former Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil, who is enjoying life again in Turkey after a torrid end to his Gunners career.
Kolasinac has only featured twice this season under Arteta, once in the EFL Cup and the other in the Premier League as Arsenal lost 5-0 to Manchester City, so a move seems on the cards for the Bosnian.
Kieran Tierney is Arsenal’s current first choice left-back, and a deal to sign Nuno Tavares as a back-up this summer spelt the end of Kolasinac’s career at the club.
Kolasinac played 115 games for Arsenal since signing in 2017, but it’s unlikely he will play many more before securing a move.
