Paul Pogba seems destined to stay at Manchester United for the foreseeable future after he posted a picture on his Instagram account celebrating their Champions League qualification.
The French midfielder played the full 90 minutes as United beat Leicester 2-0 to seal a third place finish in the Premier League and ensure they will be playing in Europe's elite tournament next season.
Pogba has been an important part of the team since football resumed, but there is still some doubt over his future, with speculation continuing to link him with a return to Juventus in the future.
Judging by his social media activity, however, Pogba is planning to be at the club next season and is looking forward to returning to Champions League action with the Red Devils.
He posted a picture of himself looking pensive on Sunday evening along with the caption: "Let’s gooooooo @championsleague baby," along with an excited face emoji.
A number of supporters reacted positively to the post, with one saying: "So that means he's staying!" while another added "Sign a new contract!"
Things have certainly improved for Pogba since he recovered from the injury problems that blighted the majority of his season, and he has formed a promising relationship with fellow central midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
The financial implications of the coronavirus crisis make it even more unlikely that he will depart, and he may well fancy the challenge of being part of a United side that could well challenge for the Premier League title next season.
He currently has just a year to run on his contract, although the club have the option of extending it by a further 12 months.
They are also thought to be keen on offering the player a longer deal, and it remains to be seen if he signs another one in the near future.
