Paris Saint Germain are toying with making a last-minute offer for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba but only if Kylian Mbappe exits for Real Madrid.
Pogba is entering the final year of his current deal and would be available as a free agent if Man Utd are unable to agree terms on a new contract.
The 28-year-old has already rejected a £350k-a-week offer that would have seen him become the highest-paid player in Premier League history.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had wanted to extend his stay until 2024 but is now open to letting the Frenchman leave, providing the right offer is made.
ESPN are reporting if Mbappe were to leave PSG for Real Madrid, then the Parisian side could make an offer for Pogba.
Mauricio Pochettino is looking to add to his star-studded squad having signed Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos and Gianluigi Donnarumma already this summer.
The former Tottenham boss has completed the majority of his business via the free-agent market but a splurge upwards of £50 million on Achraf Hakimi and Danilo Pereira shows he is not averse to big-money moves.

But Pochettino will have to wait for Mbappe to leave if he is to move for Pogba; only then would the Argentine be able to afford a deal.
The French forward, like Pogba, is entering the final year of his contract and Real Madrid have tested PSG's resolve with a £137 million bid for Mbappe.
The 22-year-old has already turned down more than three different proposals from the Ligue 1 club and has his sights set on a move to Spain.
But with less than a week remaining of the transfer window, Real Madrid face a race against time to land their prime summer target.
And PSG will have to wait on moving for Pogba until Mbappe's exit is confirmed.
