Richard Keys says Chelsea want Harry Maguire, Harry Kane, Declan Rice

BeIN Sports presenter Richard Keys makes VERY bold claim that Chelsea are targeting England trio Harry Maguire, Harry Kane AND Declan Rice as they look to bolster their squad this summer

  • Richard Keys has said Chelsea are keen to build an English spine to their squad
  • The Blues are on the cusp of being taken over by US billionaire Todd Boehly
  • And former Sky Sports presenter Keys claimed they will sign a sensational trio
  • England stars Harry Maguire, Harry Kane, Declan Rice are the three discussed

Chelsea are interested in signing Harry Kane, Harry Maguire and Declan Rice this summer, beIN SPORTS presenter Richard Keys has sensationally claimed.

The Blues are on the cusp of being taken over by US tycoon and billionaire Todd Boehly, who could instigate a massive transfer rebuild at Stamford Bridge this summer.

And former Sky Sports pundit Keys claimed in his blog that the club want an ‘English spine’ to their squad and have earmarked Three Lions captain and Tottenham striker Kane, Manchester United defender Maguire and West Ham midfielder Rice.

Keys also insisted the Blues are aiming to bolster their team with Harry Kane (left) and Declan Rice (right)

He said: ‘They need a centre-back. Harry Maguire? What would he cost? £40-50 million? I’m pretty sure he’d jump at the chance of a new start.

‘The obvious one in midfield would be Rice. (N’Golo) Kante has all but run himself to a standstill. Rice would be a perfect replacement. Would West Ham sell? Of course they will if the money is right. I’d give you £150m for him all day long. If Rice pushes hard it might not take that much.

The former Sky Sports broadcaster made the sensational claims on a blog on his website

‘So who do they go for up front? (Manager Thomas) Tuchel wants rid of (Romelu) Lukaku – that’s pretty obvious. But to where?

‘Who’s got the most out of him during his career? Correct – the guy at Tottenham. So if (Antonio) Conte can be persuaded to stay – and he fancied working with Lukaku again – what could Spurs do to get him?

‘They wouldn’t want to pay anything like Chelsea did for him. So – what about a player exchange? Two players worth £50m a-piece?

‘An English spine at Chelsea I said. So Son (Heung-min) or (Dejan) Kulusevski wouldn’t interest them at The Bridge. That leaves one option. Yep. England’s No 9. Let’s see.’

Even if Boehly provides manager Thomas Tuchel with the money for a huge squad overhaul, it is highly unlikely their London rivals would demand less than £100m for Kane and Rice, and Maguire has endured poor form this year with the Red Devils.

Keys left Sky, along with co-presenter Andy Gray, after making sexist comments about assistant referee Sian Massey.
