Rio Ferdinand has dropped a savage reply on Instagram to Gary Neville's throwback snap from his final Manchester United game in 2011.
The 46-year-old captioned the post: "Happy New Years Day everyone!
"A throwback picture to New Years Day 2011 v West Brom and my last game for United. Have a great year and go for it."
Neville hung his boots shortly after the game – later revealing he sat on the toilet and cried knowing it was his final performance.
But his former teammate was in no mood for nostalgia, and Ferdinand replied: "Bad day at the office that…..dark."
That day, in 2011, United were able to fend off the challenge of West Brom as they stormed their way to another title under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez were on the scoresheet for United as they won 2-1.
Neville started the game, but he was substituted in the 71st minute for Fabio.
Ferdinand, on the other hand, saw out the 90 when he partnered Nemanja Vidic at the back.
