England will welcome the Republic of Ireland to Wembley on Thursday in an international friendly ahead of Gareth Southgate’s side’s UEFA Nations League tie in Belgium.
The visitors will also have the Nations League fixtures to keep in mind, but Stephen Kenny’s squad have performed terribly in the tournament and will be hoping to pull off a monumental midweek win.
However, England will be hoping to put their pitiful defeat to Denmark behind them with a routine win against Ireland ahead of two imperative Nations League fixtures, with Phil Foden hoping for another chance after being given a recall to the squad..
The Three Lions face Belgium and Iceland in the coming days, with Ireland playing Wales and Bulgaria.
