Ian Wright was consoled with a hug by his son Shaun during half-time of Arsenal’s embarrassing performance at Man City on Saturday.
The duo were both on punditry duty for the early kick-off for the Premier League’s international feed.
Wright is a Gunners legend – having spent more than seven years at the club – while Shaun spent nine seasons at City across two spells.
City humiliated Mikel Arteta’s side by beating them 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus and Rodri.
The champions found themselves two goals ahead after just 12 minutes thanks to early strikes from Gundogan and Spaniard Torres.
As coverage returned to the studio at half-time, Wright-Phillips got up from his seat before giving his father a hug and a kiss on the head.
Wright took to social media after the game to post the video of his son consoling him on Twitter.
Wright-Phillips can be heard saying on the video: “Dad, don’t worry. Don’t worry alright. Everything will be fine,” before walking back to his seat with a smile on his face.

Things went from bad to worse in the second-half when defensive midfielder Rodri got on the scoresheet and Torres helped himself to his second of the game six minutes from time.
The Gunners were also forced to play the majority of the match with ten men after Granit Xhaka was given his marching orders for a wild lunge ten minutes before the half-time interval.
The pressure is mounting on boss Arteta after his side succumbed to their third straight league defeat, with no goals scored and nine conceded.

After the game, Arteta was left disgruntled after Arsenal suffered their heaviest-ever loss against Man City.
“I am really disappointed. Losing three games out of three (league) doesn’t make it any easier. For their first goal, we didn’t stop the cross or follow runners,” said Arteta.
“It is impossible to win in football without doing the basics. But I don’t know why the second goal was allowed. It was a punch in Calum’s face.”
