Nathan Moscrop's day was full of drama at Sedgefield Racecourse.
The jockey somehow managed to stay aboard Wherewouldugetit in the 2m 5f bet365 Novices' Handicap Chase (3.00), despite a serious blunder at the second fence.
The 10/1 chance's saddle slipped right round, causing him to lose his left stirrup – but Moscrop managed to free his other foot to stay upright.
Their chance in the race ended and he managed to pull up safely.
After waiting an hour and three quarters for his second ride of the day, Moscrop won on Major Snugfit (5/1), only to lose the race in the stewards' room.
The four-year-old was in the lead at the second last when he swerved sharply right, a move which hampered three rivals.
One of them was the well-backed Zamarkhan (100/30), who just lost out in the photo finish.
The stewards reversed the placings, promoting Sandy Thomson's runner to first after division one of the bet365 Handicap Hurdle (4.45).
Moscrop will also be on the sidelines for a week.
The post-race report said: "Moscrop was suspended for 7 days for careless riding as having jumped left at the second last hurdle, he over-corrected his mount causing considerable interference to Zamarkhan, which in turn caused Just Marvin to become very unbalanced and suffering interference which in turn carried Imperial Focus off its intended line."
