Herald Sun form analyst Brad Waters runs the rule over Thursday night’s card at Pakenham.
VOLATORE (Race 6, No. 3 – $3)
Promising filly from the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable. She was a strong winner at Kilmore first-up last prep and she’s had more time to mature. Blinkers go on for this.
BEAUTOX (Race 2, No.2 – $5)
Beautox was a great winning chance at Tuesday’s abandoned Benalla meeting but another two days won’t make a difference to her. She fought on well when up in trip at Echuca and should go well again back at 1200m.
AMERICAIN ANGEL (Race 3, No. 10 – $1.55)
She’s a short-priced favourite but Americain Angel should break through for a maiden win at Pakenham second-up. She was narrowly beaten when resuming and won’t have to improve much to win this time around.

VLADIVOSTOK (Race 5, No. 4 – $10)
Vladivostok has steadily worked up to a win and gets his chance for a victory at Pakenham on Thursday. He’ll roll forward and will be hard to get past again in the straight, especially if the track is soft.
KICHIERRO (Race 7, No. 10 – $14)
The seventh race at Pakenham is a difficult race for punters but Phillip Stokes’ Kichierro is worth an each-way ticket at good odds despite the tricky draw. He was a strong winner at Cranbourne last time and can go on with it on Thursday night.
Ben Allen has seven rides at Pakenham on Thursday night with three of those being for the powerful Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable so expect him to be among the winners.
CENTRE OF GRAVITY (Race 1, No.2 – $7), BEAUTOX (Race 2, No.2 – $5), LIONEL (Race 3, No.4 – $17), STRATUM’S REWARD (Race 4, No.4 – $51), MELTDOWN (Race 5, No.10 – $11), SIR DANA (Race 7, No.14 – $61), SCARLETT HEART (Race 8, No.1 – $8).
Warrnambool will hold Friday’s day meeting with Cranbourne to race on Friday night. Bendigo will be the scene of Saturday’s major Victorian meeting while Wodonga also races. Sale will hold a nine-race card on Sunday while the rescheduled Buchan Cup meeting will also be run.
